Saltsa Me Domata (tomato)


  • Ingredients
  • 2 lbs. of fresh tomatos or large can (28 oz.) of peeled tomatos
  • 3 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1/2 cup of onions
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1/2 tsp. sweet basil, 1/8 tsp. of oregano
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 3 Tbsp. chopped parsley
  • Pinch of pepper, salt to taste



  • Directions
  • Scald tomatoes, peel and chop. If using canned tomatoes, chop.
  • Chop onions and mince garlic.
  • In a Dutch oven, saute onions and garlic in olive oil until golden.
  • Add tomatoes and remaining ingredients.
  • Simmer for 40 minutes.
