Bechamel


  • Ingredients
  • 2 cups of hot milk
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/4 cup of butter
  • Salt and pepper
  • Dash of nutmeg (for moussaka only)



  • Directions
  • Seperate eggs.
  • Warm milk in sauce pan.
  • In another sauce pan melt butter, add flour and stir until smooth.
  • Lower heat and gradually add warm milk stirring constantly until thickens.
  • Add egg yolks and stir.
  • Season with salt and pepper (plus a dash of nutmeg for moussaka)
  • Makes 2 cups.
