Lamb with Potatoes


  • Ingredients
  • 4-5 lb. leg of lamb
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/4 cup of red wine
  • 6-8 potatoes



  • Directions
  • Crush garlic, then mix with lemon and rub on lamb.
  • Salt and pepper lamb.
  • Place in roasting pan with 1 cup of water and bake at 350 degrees for 3/4 hour.
  • Quarter potatoes and place aound lamb. Make sure there is enough water in pan to cook potatoes.
  • Pour wine over lamb and cook for one more hour.
  • Remove lamb.
  • Add 1/4 cup of water to pan and raise oven temperature to 400 degrees and cook potatoes for 15 more minutes (until crisp and tender).
