Salata (salad)


  • Ingredients
  • 2 large heads of lettuce
  • 3 tomatoes, 1 cucumber
  • 1 garlic clove, peeled and left whole
  • 6 scallions, 1 green pepper
  • 10 radishes
  • 1 cup of crumbled feta cheese
  • 1 cup of black olives
  • Pinch of pepper, salt to taste
  • 5 anchovy fillets (optional)



  • Directions
  • Rub salad bowl with garlic clove and discard the clove.
  • Put bowl in the freezer while you prepare the remaining ingredients.
  • Chop lettuce, quarter tomatoes, peel and slice cucumber, thinly slice scallions and radishes, seed and slice pepper.
  • Take bowl from freezer and combine vegetables, olives and cheese. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and oregano and toss.
  • Add dressing of your choice and toss again.
