Salata (salad)
- Ingredients
- 2 large heads of lettuce
- 3 tomatoes, 1 cucumber
- 1 garlic clove, peeled and left whole
- 6 scallions, 1 green pepper
- 10 radishes
- 1 cup of crumbled feta cheese
- 1 cup of black olives
- Pinch of pepper, salt to taste
- 5 anchovy fillets (optional)
- Directions
- Rub salad bowl with garlic clove and discard the clove.
- Put bowl in the freezer while you prepare the remaining ingredients.
- Chop lettuce, quarter tomatoes, peel and slice cucumber, thinly slice scallions and radishes, seed and slice pepper.
- Take bowl from freezer and combine vegetables, olives and cheese. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and oregano and toss.
- Add dressing of your choice and toss again.
