Lamb and Stringbeans


  • Ingredients
  • 2 lb. of lamb
  • 2 medium onions
  • 1 lb. fresh string beans
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil, 2 Tbsp. parsley
  • 1/2 cup tomato paste, 8 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 2-3 whole tomatoes
  • 1 cup beef broth, 4 potatoes
  • Salt and pepper, 1 cup water



  • Directions
  • Clean beans.
  • Chop onions.
  • Cut lamb into desirable pieces, then brown in olive oil.
  • Add onions, brown well.
  • Dilute tomato paste in water then add it to the meat with the parsley and broth.
  • Quarter potatoes and chop tomatoes.
  • Add potatoes, tomatoes and beans to lamb. Salt and pepper to taste.
  • Simmer until meat and beans are tender (about 1 1/2 hours).
